Since 1989 we organized every second year, each time mid-August, an international folklore festival during which about four foreign groups came to visit us for a week. During that week several appearances in Western Flanders were being organized, concluded with, as highlight, our festival day in which all groups take part
We always tried to combine the medley of the different groups to a splendid evening. It goes without saying that this festival evening each time attracts several hundreds of spectators.
As from 2003, we do not longer organize an international folklorefestival. But this doesn't mean that foreign groups aren't welcome anymore.
If your group wants to visit our region, please feel free to contact us. Maybe we can arrange your yourney in our guestfamilies.
We give you here a summary of the groups we invited since 1989.
